As a full-time RVer, I’ve spent a fair amount of time trying to find the best ways to organize the space. Below, I’ll share my best RV tips for keeping your RV tidy at the campground. Learn from my mistakes and ensure your next camping trip is clutter-free!
Learn How to Fold Clothes to Save Space
This process took some trial and error on my part. Eventually, I figured out the best way to fold shirts to make them easier to stack; I learned to make socks and underwear take up less space by folding them neatly, and, yes, I even use the Marie Kondo method for our drawers. It works well for keeping things easy to grab and organized.
Add Storage Bins, Shelving, or Hooks to the Cabinets
One thing I’ve learned about RVs is that the storage spaces are usually pretty substantial, but they are hard to organize. We solved this problem by adding storage bins or shelving to most of our cabinets. We’ve also used a lot of command hooks in closets and cabinets to keep things in easy reach.
Give Everything a Home
Clutter shows up so much more when you’re living in a tidy place. This has been one of the hardest challenges for RV life for us. One of the best ways to combat the clutter is to ensure that everything has a home and gets returned to that place after it’s used.
Get a Cordless Vacuum
Whether or not your RV has much carpet, keeping a cordless vacuum on hand will help you to keep the floors cleaner than other options. A compact vacuum is the best solution for keeping dirt, dust, and other debris off your floors.
