Our RV Rental Policies

A deposit of $200.00 is due at time of reservation. This is applied toward the rental fees. The balance of the rental plus a $1000.00 security deposit is due at pick-up. The security deposit will be refunded when the rental is returned undamaged. We reserve the right to apply the security deposit to any excess charges that you incur. We accept all major credit cards. Sorry, we cannot accept personal checks.

*RV Travel World reserves the right to adjust the security deposit as it deems necessary.

When you call to reserve a travel trailer, we will need to know the year, make and model of your tow vehicle to verify that is has adequate towing capacity for the GROSS Vehicle Weight of the trailer. This figure is the total of the empty trailer, plus all of its cargo capacity, including water. We will provide a weight distribution hitch at no charge on a rental basis. All tow vehicles MUST be equipped with a Brake Controller. These are NOT available for rent, but we will sell and install for you at a nominal charge.

There will be a $50.00 non-refundable cancellation fee if you cancel more than more than 30 days prior to departure. If the rental is cancelled fewer than 30 days prior to departure, 100% of the $200.00 deposit will be retained.

Pick-up is between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday. All rentals must be picked up and returned Tuesday through Saturday as the rental office is closed on Sunday and Monday. Please call a week before your departure date to schedule a walk-through and pick-up appointment. Because of our rental schedule, it is imperative that you return your rental on time. Should you be late, you are delaying the next renters. A late fee of $50.00 per hour will be charged for all late returns after 10:00 am. There are no refunds for early returns.

A walk-through is given at the time of pick-up. It takes approximately thirty minutes and is required to familiarize the renter with the proper operation of the rental vehicle. If you are departing on the weekend you must schedule a walk-through on a weekday prior to picking up. Please note: Rental vehicles are only scheduled to be picked up Monday through Friday, no weekend pickups. Please call the week before your departure to schedule your pick-up time and familiarization appointment. No walk-throughs will be scheduled after 2:30 pm or on weekends.

Limited “Pet-Friendly” rentals for additional $10.00 per day rental fee.

“Easy Return” policy – we will clean the rental and empty the holding tanks for $199.99, leaving you free to enjoy that last of your vacation.

Dump Fee – If you are able to clean the unit but not empty the holding tanks, a $50.00 fee will be charged.

Generator Usage – On motorhomes the generator use has a fee of $3.00 per hour. There is a meter that will record the hours of use. We will get a reading when you leave with the motor home and when you return to calculate the usage. Trailers do not come with a generator.

Propane – Provided at no charge. Please do not refill the propane tank.

Mileage – Motorhome rentals include 100 free miles for each night of your reservation. Any additional mileage beyond the free amount has a fee of $0.37 per mile plus tax. There are no mileage charges for travel trailers.

Gas Usage – All motorhomes are rented with a full tank of fuel. If the tank is not refilled before return, a fee of $8.00 per gallon will be charged.

Drivers - We do not charge for additional drivers, however all planned drivers must be at least 25 years of age, be listed on the rental agreement and provide a driver’s license and insurance card before departure.

Insurance – For your convenience, RV insurance is included in the rental price. Your security deposit covers the $1000.00 deductible in the event of damage or loss. For trailer rentals, please provide proof of insurance that states your tow vehicle will remain fully covered while towing the trailer.

Parking of Personal Vehicle – Unfortunately we do not have parking available for your personal vehicle during the rental period.

Furnishings – You will need to bring your own utensils, cookware, dinnerware, bedding etc.

Number of Passengers – There are no charges for additional people, however there are a limited number of seating positions in motor homes that offer seatbelts. No limitations on guests in a trailer.

All drivers must be listed on the reservation form and the rental agreement. All drivers must be of at least 25 years of age. All drivers must provide a copy of their valid driver’s license and a valid insurance card. No special driver’s license is required to drive our rental motor homes.

Renter represents on the rental application that he or she carries automobile liability insurance in the amounts required by law. Our insurance policy provides the minimum limits prescribed by the financial responsibility laws of the State of California.

All rentals are NON-SMOKING units. Any evidence of smoking in the unit will result in forfeiture of the entire security deposit. Limited number of pre-assigned Pet-Friendly units are available for an additional $10.00 per night. No towing behind a motorhome rental is permitted under any circumstances and hitch locks are installed on the vehicle.

Use of awning is prohibited.

The rental should be as clean as it was when it was picked up. Holding tanks must be emptied or a $50.00 dump fee will be charged. All appliances should be wiped down, and the floors swept and mopped. The interior must be cleaned or a minimum of a $250.00 cleaning fee will be charged. Renters are not required to wash the exterior unless it is unusually dirty. The gas tank should be full and topped off or a $8.00 per gallon fee will be charged. You can purchase our “Easy Return” policy prior to your departure for $199.00. This will cover charges for dumping the tanks and all interior cleaning. This DOES NOT cover fuel charges. We provide propane, so please do not re-fill the propane tank.
